Archaeologists of the Archeology and Ethnography Institute at the Russian Academy of Sciences' Siberian branch take a break at Denisova Cave exit, in the Altai Krai region, Russia. The cave has provided items of great paleoarchaeological and paleontological interest. Bone fragments of the Denisova hominin originate from the cave, including artifacts dated to around 40,000 BP. A 32,000-year-old prehistoric species of horse has also been found in the cave.
Dogs compete during the Lure Coursing Championship in the village of Razdolie, in Republic of Crimea, Russia. It's a field trial with a bait that simulates the pursuit and capture of an animal (hare, fox) in the field and allows dogs to demonstrate their working qualities.
