Aurora is a Russian protected cruiser of the 1st rank. It was floated out in 1900 and took part in the Battle of Tsushima. Aurora became internationally renowned for making a false shot symbolising the start of the 1917 October Revolution. During the Great Patriotic War, the ship took part in defending Leningrad.
