The monument to Catherine II and bronze figures of Prince Grigory Potyomkin-Tavrichesky and Vasily Dolgorukov-Krymsky at Lit Art sculpture production plant in Zhukovsky near Moscow before being sent to the Crimea. The sculpture ensemble, reconstructed from descriptions and surviving photographs, will be installed at the historic site in Central Park in Simferopol. The monument was originally unveiled in 1890 in honor of 100th anniversary of the Crimean peninsula accession to the Russian Empire, then dismantled in May 1921.
