The Christ the Savior Cathedral in Moscow. Designed by the architect Konstantin Ton. The construction lasted nearly 44 years: the cathedral was laid on September 23, 1839, consecrated on May 26, 1883. On December 5, 1931 the cathedral was demolished and rebuilt in the same place in 1994-1997.
