

Monks are seen at the Buddhist Institute in Zhedui Village, Lhasa City District, Tibet Autonomous Region, China. The institute was officially opened in October 2011, becoming the first higher Buddhist educational institution in Tibet, where monks and nuns belonging to the five main sects of Tibetan Buddhism are co-educated. At the moment, more than 900 people are studying here, more than 130 of them are women, as well as eight children, who are called "little Buddhas".
