Border guard officers inspect the fence on the Russia-Ukraine border, in Crimea region, Russia. The barrier, that consists of several types of fences with its total length over 60 kilometers, is equipped with hundreds of sensors and video surveillance devices. It aimed to prevent smuggling of weapons, munitions, drugs, fuel, tobacco and alcohol by Ukrainian citizens into Crimea as well as attempts to cross the border by reconnaissance groups.
