Cruiser Avrora anchored on the Neva River. The ship fired the historical shot that signalled the assault on the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg in 1917. Having been docked forever in 1948, Avrora was converted to a museum ship in 1956, thus becoming a branch of the Central Navy Museum.
