The world's most powerful thermonuclear bomb (up to 100 megatonnes) is displayed in the museum of nuclear weapons in the Russian Federal Nuclear Center in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. Although its original nuclear charge was reduced twice, the power of the explosion was astounding. A shock wave went around the Earth three times; the glow was seen at a distance of more than 1,000 km; and radio communication on the country's northern coasts was disrupted for 40 minutes.
