The Kaunas Fortress. The Ninth Fort of the fortress was used as a concentration camp during the occupation of Lithuania by Nazi Germany in World War II. The fort became a place of mass execution of civilian population, mostly Jews. Presently the fort holds a museum of victims of fascism and genocide against Jews.
