Barak Obama crosses Rhine

A NATO summit in Strasbourg marking the organization's 60th anniversary began with NATO Presidents crossing the Rhine via a Franco-German bridge. At the French side of the river, France's President Nicolas Sarkozy was waiting for his European counterparts, as to symbolize the country's return to NATO. Although the new U.S. President Barak Obama was with those crossing the bridge, this didn't impress the Europeans much, as they knew that he was going to ask for what they can't give him. The summit appears to be the first one after ties with Russia were virtually frozen since the Georgian-Russian war in August 2008.
